Agnes Nixon to appear in All My Children

The prolific writer will appear in All My Children later this month ahead of its television finale in September. Nixon will reprise her role of Agnes Eckhardt, a member of the Pine Valley Hospital board. The writer previously appeared in the soap for its 35th anniversary in 2005. Her return to the soap will see her character come into contact with Erica Kane (Susan Lucci) the last original cast member still part of the regular cast.
Agnes Nixon’s career is filled with soaps having worked on As The World Turns, Guiding Light and Another World before creating her own soaps; One Life to Live in 1968 and two years later All My Children. In 1983 Nixon launched her third ABC soap, Loving, which ran until 1995 when successor soap The City was launched. However, The City lasted just two years and ended in 1997. All My Children is due to end on 23rd September and will re-launch online but a yet its unclear just when that will happen while One Life to Live is due to end its run in January.
