Jamie Lomas to leave Hollyoaks
{jcomments on}Jamie Lomas has announced he, once again, to bow out of Channel Four soap Hollyoaks.
The actor has opted not to renew his contact with the soap and will leave Hollyoaks later this year. Lomas will record his final scenes with the soap in October. The actor reprised his role of bad-boy Warren Fox on Hollyoaks last October despite supposedly being killed off in 2009.
“Last time I left, the recession hit and there wasn’t much being made,” the 31-year-old explained. “It’s starting to pick up and I wanted to give it another crack of the whip. I want something completely different to Warren to show people I’m versatile.” – Lomas quoted in New magazine
Asked if bosses would leave the open for a future possible return Lomas said “I would like to think they would. I’ll have to wait and see.” The actor originally played Warren between 2006 and 2009 and amongst his storylines was his rivalry with bitchy Clare Devine (Gemma Bissix) and his murder of Sean Kennedy (Matthew Jay Lewis).
