Tamara Tunie to appear in Days of our Lives

Actress Tamara Tunie is to have a short stint in NBC’s daytime soap Days of our Lives.

TVLine reports that Tunie will play ‘tough-as-nails’ judge Weston. Details are being kept under wraps about the nature of her appearance on Days of our Lives but TVLine reports her presence will have a major impact on the returning John Black (Drake Hogestyn). Tunie will make her debut on Days of our Lives in November.

The actress is no stranger to the world of daytime soaps having previously played Jessica Griffin on As The World Turns on/off between 1987 and 2009. Tunie currently appears in Law and Order: Special Victims Unit as medical examiner Dr. Melinda Warner and her other notable roles include a stint in 24 in 2000 and NYPD Blue.
