Torchwood – Immortal Sins ratings

Eve MylesRatings for the seventh episode of Torchwood: Miracle Day failed to recover on Thursday evening from last week’s season low.

{jcomments on}The launch of Celebrity Big Brother last Thursday dented the ratings for Torchwood with overnight figures dropping well below 4 million viewers to 3.4 million. As ever though overnight figures are not as accurate as the final ratings, released ten days after broadcaster, which take into account those who recorded the programme and watched later – final figures are always higher than overnight figures.

So fans of Torchwood: Miracle Day will be hoping the seventh episode, Immortal Sins, picks up much lost ground with the final figures as the overnight ratings show no change from last week’s episode. Once again an average of 3.4 million viewers watched the episode at 9pm and this week it wasn’t Celebrity Big Brother that took away viewers but BBC Two’s first screening of The Duchess. The film, starring Keira Knightley and Ralph Fiennes, was only a whisker away from Torchwood with a hefty 3.1 million viewers for BBC Two.
