Louisa Lytton open to EastEnders return

EastEndersFormer EastEnders actress Louisa Lytton has said she would willingly return to the BBC One soap.

The actress played Ruby Allen, daughter of gangster Johnny Allen (Billy Murray), between March 2005 and November 2006. Ruby was firm friends with Stacey (Lacey Turner) and had a brief relationship with her brother Sean (Rob Kazinsky). The character left in the back of a cab in late 2006 after falling out with her best friend, Stacey.

“The show put me where I am today and I absolutely loved it. It was such a great job, and anyone who turns their nose up at it is very silly. I love the thought of going back to the Square – even if it was for a week for old times’ sake….From a personal point of view, it would be nice to show Ruby as an adult. People walked all over her and she cried all the time – so I’d like to see her return to Walford as a hard-faced bitch!” – Louisa Lytton speaking to Inside Soap.

After leaving EastEnders Lytton appeared in the fourth series of Strictly Come Dancing, one of its youngest contestants, and finished 4th. In 2007 she joined the cast of ITV cop-drama The Bill as PC Beth Green and remained with the series until 2009 when she bowed out ahead of its revamp which subsequently led to The Bill’s demise in 2010. Lytton has since appeared in Identity, Luther and Casualty and will soon tour the country in a production of The Vagina Monologues.
