Latest X Factor pulls in 11 million

The latest installment of The X Factor pulled in a massive 11 million viewers to ITV 1 last night.

The X Factor, which featured hopeful Jade Richards bringing the judges to tears, attracted an average of 11 million viewers to ITV 1 and ITV 1+1 at 8.15pm last night. The new series of the singing reality show has been riding high after initial worries that the show would fail without Simon Cowell.

Before The X Factor, ITV 1’s heavily promoted Red or Black? made its live debut, attracting 6.6 million viewers. The show hosted by Ant and Dec gives contestants the chance to win £1 million live by choosing red or black. That is exactly what happened in the second part of the show at 9.15pm. The second show attracted 7.2 million viewers. Red or Black? continues across the week. Jonathan Ross made his ITV 1 debut last night at 9.45pm with 4.3 million viewers. His first guests included singer Adele and F1 racing driver Lewis Hamilton.
