Celebrity Big Brother rises after dismal Saturday outing
After pulling in low numbers on Saturday, last night Celebrity Big Brother managed to claw back nearly 1 million viewers.
At 9.00pm, Celebrity Big Brother attracted 2.5 million viewers, this was up from the 1.6 million who tuned in on Saturday night. On Saturday the reality show faced stiff competition from ITV 1’s Jonathan Ross Show and Channel 4’s Million Pound Drop.
This Thursday will see the final in which either Jedward, Kerry Katona, Bobby Sabel, Amy Childs, Paddy Docherty, Darryn Lyons or Lucien Laviscount will be crowned the winner. The civilian Big Brother launches on Friday. Channel 5 have been running teasers at the end of each episode saying that Big Brother continues in ‘x’ amount of days.
Elsewhere on Sunday, Red or Black? dropped in viewers, with just 5.7 million viewers tuning in to see another contestant win £1 million. The show is across several newspapers today after it was alleged that Nathan Hageman, who won in the first episode on Saturday, had served time in prison. The show continues all this week (except Tuesday).
