Minor changes unveiled on Daybreak

A warmer Daybreak emerged this morning as the breakfast show prepares to mark its 1st birthday.

This morning Daybreak viewers were treated to a somewhat warmer surrounding at 6.00am, as the first hour is now presented from the newswall, complete with red chairs and a lighter skyline on the screens.

Over the past year, the sofa has changed from purple to red, and extra coloured panels have been added around the studio to add more warmth.

Daybreak news anchor Tasmin Lucia Khan has been given a new warmer area to read the morning news headlines from, which now sees her standing rather than sitting.

These changes come after ITV Studios took full control of producing the breakfast show. Further changes are expected later in the year. It was announced last week that former BBC One Breakfast editor David Kermode will become Daybreak’s new editor.

Tomorrow will mark one year since Daybreak debuted after GMTV was axed.
