X Factor winner happy over ‘creative control’ given to him

X Factor winner Matt Cardle has spoken about his upcoming new single and debut album

Matt Cardle, who won The X Factor last December, has been speaking ahead of his new single release. He told Real Radio Yorkshire:  “I’m absolutely over the moon, I’m really proud of the album and really chuffed that I managed to get so much creative control over it. I’m excited about the future, I’m just praying that the album does really well and people want to come and see me live.”

Matt was mentored by X Factor judge Dannii Minogue, who has decided not to return this series. His debut single, ‘When We Collide’ was last year’s Christmas number one in the UK Top 40. His new single ‘Run For Your Life’ is out on 10th October. The album ‘Letters’ will follow on 17th October.
