The Secret Circle launches strongly for The CW

{jcomments off}The Secret Circle, from the team behind The Vampire Diaries, launched strongly on The CW last night.

The series – created by the writer behind The Vampire Diaries novels – launched on The CW with 3 million viewers of which 1.3 million was in the 18 – 49 demo. The CW will doubtless be pleased with the launch of the hotly anticipated new supernatural series. Meanwhile The Vampire Diaries itself returned with a third season and also had 3 million viewers but had a slightly higher 1.4 18-49 demo. Interestingly The Secret Circle had more viewers, by overnight figures, than Ringer (starring Sarah Michelle Gellar) which launched earlier in the week.
