Early ratings data shows that Big Brother managed to peak at over 2 million viewers

 

The first live show featured the latest highlights from the house and the announcement of who would be evicted. It managed attracted an average of 1.83 million viewers to Channel 5 and 9.00pm. This is up from the 1.16 million who tuned in the previous night. At 11.00pm, 1.25 million viewers tuned in to see Tashie become the first housemate to leave and be interviewed by Brian Dowling.
