BBC World Service announces ‘Newshour’ guest presenters

BBC World Service key news and current affairs programme ‘Newshour’ will feature a guest presenter beginning 26th September.

 

The five who have been chosen are well known journalist and media professionals from UK and around the world. BBC Two’s Newsnight presenter Jeremy Paxman will host on Monday 26th September at 13:00 GMT. Subsequent guest presenters will be Christine Ockrent who was first woman to anchor an evening news programme on French TV and broadcaster Redi Tlhabi who is a well known face on SABC (South African Broadcasting Coroporation).

On Thursday, former CNN correspondent and current ABC News presenter Christiane Amanpour will present the show live from America. Dragons’ Den presenter and former BBC economics editor Evan Davis will wrap up the week from London on Friday.
