Doctor Who: The Girl Who Waited – Final Ratings

Karen GillanThe final figures for The Girl Who Waited, 10th episode in the current series of Doctor Who, have been released.

The final figures for the episode add roughly 1.5 million viewers to the overnight figures which are often widely used  by the press – especially if they are trying to claim shows are experiencing rating declines. Final ratings are more accurate and higher than overnight figures because they take into account those who recorded the programme and watched it within seven days but do not include downloads via the BBC iPlayer service or other on-demand platforms.

The original overnight figure for The Girl Who Waited was 6.1 million viewers which rises to 7.6 million viewers with the final figure total. Just encase anyone was in any doubt that’s a bloody good rating for a drama on television these days especially on a Saturday evening.
