Does the X Factor need Cheryl Cole to return?

{jcomments on}Any tabloid or celebrity magazine reader will have read – on a daily basis – conflicting stories, often in the same publication, about Cheryl Cole returning/not returning to The X Factor. As the possibility of the former judge returning continues to dominate the tabloids/celebrity magazines we ask you whether the X Factor needs Cheryl Cole to return?
It’s all very well the tabloids printing story after story claiming Cole is due to return/isn’t going to return/might return/will be a guest judge/will be a mentor/will perform ect but what if The X Factor doesn’t actually need Cole anymore? What if it has successfully moved on just as it did when Sharon Osbourne departed several years ago? Cole left the panel along with Dannii Minogue and Simon Cowell giving the producers the chance to refresh the show and introduce three all new judges.

It’s only a few weeks into the new series of The X Factor but it still seems to be dominating the weekend ratings. The Judges – whoever that are – will always get a mixed reaction from the audience as no one will ever be universally liked. The audience can change their mind about a particular judge on a weekly basis too based on their decisions – as Cole herself knows only too well from last year’s competition.
