Fringe returns to ratings rise

FringeThe season four premier of Fringe saw ratings rise on its May finale but they’re still not spectacular.

The fourth season of Fringe kicked off kicked off last night on Fox still firmly placed in the “grave-yard” slot it was moved to. However, despite predictions the slot would kill the creepy series off Fringe is still going strong and back for another season – though how long it will remain on air remains to be seen. Fringe‘s forth season premier, Neither Here Nor There, had 3.5 million viewers which is higher than The Day We Died, the season three finale which had 3.2 million viewers.  However, there are down quite a bit on the season three premier Olivia which had 5.8 million viewers but crucially wasn’t airing in the grave-yard slot.

Elsewhere on Friday evening Nikita returned to The CW for its second season with 2.8 million viewers while Supernatural was back for a seventh season with 1.9 million viewers.
