Patti Stanger apologises for over gay remarks
{jcomments off}Bravo’s Millionaire Matchmaker star Patti Stanger has apologised for some offensive remarks she made about gay men.
Patti Stanger made an appearance on Sunday evening’s season premier of late-night chat-show Watch What Happens Live. Host Andy Cohen was clearly horrified as Stanger made a series of offensive remarks about gay men and the gay community. Stanger took calls from fans during her appearance on Watch What Happens Live and that’s when the trouble started. She asked one caller if he was gay, when he asked about long-distance relationships, and said “In the gay world, there’s always going to be open relationships.”. It was just one of several comments during her interview with host openly gay host Andy Cohen. At one point Stanger even questioned Cohen over when his last serious relationship was.
However, the Millionaire Matchmaker star has apologised for her remarks. In a statement to GLAAD, The Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation, she said “I am so sorry, I did not mean to offend anyone with my comments last night on Watch What Happens: Live.”
Meanwhile Bravo said in a statement “Bravo regrets the comments expressed by Patti Stanger on Watch What Happens: Live last night. Her comments are not representative of the network’s beliefs and opinions. We apologize for the offense it caused.” reports Entertainment Weekly.
