Prospect Park announce launch date for online network

All My ChildrenProspect Park has announced a tentative launch date for the online network that will house daytime soaps All My Children and One Life to Live.

ABC cancelled the two daytime soaps earlier this year in a shock cull – it was widely expected the broadcaster would cancel one series but not two. All My Children ended its television run on Friday and One Life to Live will airs its television finale in January. Details of just how the two soaps will continue online under Prospect Park and the format the new episodes will take are still relatively unclear. However, the company has now announced a launch date for the internet network where new episodes will be housed.

The Online Network, or TOLN, will launch in January 2012 around the same time that One Life to Live ends on ABC. It is expected therefore that both OLTL and AMC will begin there internet episodes around that time too. Just who will remain on the two soaps and who will leave is still not a clear picture. It’s known that Cameron Mathison and Lindsey Hartley have signed deals to remain on AMC but crucially not, as yet, original cast member Susan Lucci. As for OLTL cast members Erika Slezak, Kassie DePaiva, Michael Easton, Ted King and Sean Ringgold will remain with the soap as will its executive producer Frank Valentini.
