James Scott future at Days of our Lives unclear

Rumours surrounding James Scott exit from Days of our Lives may be premature but not necessarily wrong.

Several sites are reporting that actor James Scott, who plays E.J DiMera, is quitting the series at the end of his current contract. The actor has previously hinted he was considering moving on from the NBC soap and perhaps even moving abroad and retiring from acting all together. However, it would appears rumours of his impending exit from Days our Lives may just be a bit premature as its emerged he is still in talks over his contract.

“It has always been my wish to continue working with Days of our Lives, and in light of recent reassurances given, I am optimistic of my future here at DAYS!” The actor said in a statement in response to stories over his future at the soap. So fans might not want to give up hope just yet as he may just sign a new contract. The NBC soap has undergone something of a “re-fresh” lately brining back former cast members, introducing new ones and clearing out some of its cast, in an attempt to boost ratings.
