Joseph Morgan: No Stefan/Klaus romance on The Vampire Diaries
{jcomments off}British actor Joseph Morgan has stated that they’ll be no romance between vampires Stefan and Klaus on The Vampire Diaries.
The actor, who plays original vampire Klaus on The CW supernatural series, has stated that his character’s relationship with Stefan (Paul Wesley) will be a bromance and not a romance. Asked if Klaus will have a relationship with anyone during the third season of The Vampire Diaries the actor told Zap2It. “I don’t think it’s going to be Stefan,…I have to disappoint you. There’s a bromance going on sure, but I don’t think there’s going to be a romance.”
Morgan joined the cast of The Vampire Diaries in the latter half of its second series. His character of Klaus was seeking to break a curse on him preventing his werewolf side of him taking hold. Klaus did a bargain with Stefan to save the life of his brother Damon (Ian Somerhalder) who had been bitten by a werewolf – such bites are fatal to vampires in the world of The Vampire Diaries. However, Stefan had to leave girlfriend Elena (Nina Dobrev) and Mystic Falls and travel with Klaus. The third season, currently airing on The CW, revolves around Damon and Elena’s attempts at tracking down Klaus and Stefan.
Prior to joining The Vampire Diaries Morgan had roles in British dramas such as Hex, The Line of Beauty, Doc Martin, William and Mary and Casualty.
