X Factor: Final 16 contestants revealed tonight

Millions are expected to tune into the X Factor tonight to see who has made it through to the live shows.

Last night the 32 contestants arrived at their mentor’s home to perform in front of them and a special guest. Despite the hot weather across much of the UK, 11 million viewers (peak) tuned in. Kitty Brucknell, who sang Lady Gaga’s ‘Edge of Glory’ at her first audition, jumped into the pool after singing in front of Louis Walsh and Sinitta. Luke Lucas, who is only 16 years old, struggled to perform in front of Gary Barlow and Robbie Williams. Fans of the show took to Twitter to post support for the strained singer.

Terry Winstanley, who is in the over 25 category has blasted his mentor Louis Walsh. In today’s Sunday People newspaper he said: Louis doesn’t give a toss about us, he was useless. We saw him three times – when he welcomed us to Barcelona, when we sang and for his final decision. He gave us no advice, no inspiration at all, that’s not a mentor.’ We will find out tonight if he made it through.

The X Factor continues tonight at 7.45pm on ITV 1
