Football dents Pan Am ratings

{jcomments off}Sunday Night Football dented the ratings for Pan Am and Desperate Housewives last night as well as a skew of other shows.

A night of sports coverage dented ratings for a skew of programmes with ABC dramas Desperate Housewives and Pan Am taking hits. Soapy drama Desperate Housewives at 9pm was seen by 9 million viewers with a 2.9 18-49 rating. The drama is in its ninth and final season but so far has failed to set the ratings chart alight – the residents of Wisteria Lane seemingly just can’t compete against the other Sunday offerings. Meanwhile 1960s based Pan-Am, starring Christina Ricci, also lost viewers for its season episode as it pulled in 7.7 million viewers and a 2.5 18-49 rating.
