Syfy developing Adjustment Bureau TV series

SyfySyfy is reportedly developing a television series based on the movie The Adjustment Bureau.

Deadline reports that the broadcaster is developing the television series based on the movie realised earlier this year starring Matt Damon and Emily Blunt. The script for the pilot is being developed by Darren Swimmer and Todd Slavkin who have previously worked together on The CW’s Smallville and Melrose Place as well as No Ordinary Family.  The duo will act as executive producers on the project along with the movie’s director George Nolfi and producer Michael Hackett.

The Adjustment Bureau was actually based on a short story titled Adjustment Team by Phillip K. Dick. The film revolved around a career rising politician (Damon) who is in a relationship with a dancer (Blunt). Their relationship is interrupted by a secret organisation which tries to control people’s lives and make sure they follow a set path.
