Doctor Who Confidential Petition Update

Doctor Who Confidential An update on the petition by fans of BBC Three series Doctor Who Confidential to save it from the axe.

BBC Three controller Zai Bennett announced last week that the ‘behind-the-scenes’ series of Doctor Who would end with its current sixth season. Doctor Who Confidential has offered fans a behind-the-scenes look at episode every of Who since its revival in 2005 and has given them an insight into how episodes are filmed, edited and even scripted. It has featured interviews with key cast and crew members such as Billie Piper, Catherine Tate, Karen Gillan, John Barrowman, Alex Kingston, Phil Collinson, Julie Gardner and Russell T. Davies over the years.

Unsurprisingly a petition and a Twitter campaign were launched to save Doctor Who Confidential. The petition now has over 36,000 signatures while the Twitter campaign has just under 8,000 signatures. The Doctor Who Newspage has a short interview with one of the leaders of the campaign and discusses where the campaign could go next.
