Roxanne Pallett joins Waterloo Road
Former Emmerdale personality Roxanne Pallett is to play a school girl in BBC drama Waterloo Road.
The 28-year-old ‘actress’ more famous for her off-screen exploits and ‘sexy image’ is to play a 17-year-old student.
A favourite with male viewers, Pallett began filming with the show last week.
A show source told The Star, “There aren’t many actresses who can play someone more than ten years younger than them,” adding, “she looks so good for her age. Loads of women watching will be desperate to know her secret.”
In ITV’s Emmerdale she played troubled Jo Sugden, wife of long running character Andy – actor Kelvin Fletcher. Pallett left the Yorkshire dales in 2008 after three years.
A BBC insider told the tabloid: “There is always plenty of drama on Waterloo Road and Roxanne’s character will be right in the middle of it.”
Waterloo Road continues to be a popular fixture of BBC One’s drama output, the show is now in its fifth year.
