The CW orders full season of The Secret Circle
The CW has picked up supernatural drama The Secret Circle and new series Hart of Dixie for full seasons.
The news comes just hours after The CW also picked up Sarah Michelle Gellar drama Ringer for a full series as well – ordering a further nine episodes of the series. The Secret Circle is a supernatural drama revolving around a coven of witches, starring Britt Robertson, and is based on the novels by L.J Smith – who also penned The Vampire Diaries. The series has been described as a “companion series” rather than a spin-off to the similarly themed The Vampire Diaries. While ratings for The Secret Circle haven’t made it a “break out” success they have, never-the-less, been fairly good with around 2.7 million viewers. Hart of Dixie has also been given a full season order by The CW.
