Channel Four axes Sirens
Channel Four has axed its paramedic comedy drama series Sirens after just one series.
The series starred Rhys Thomas, Richard Madden, Amy Beth Hayes and Kayvan Novak as three paramedics with the comedy drama airing on Monday evenings on Channel Four in the Summer. However, the series did not make an impact on the ratings but did build up a loyal fan base.
Broadcast reports that a Channel Four spokesperson has confirmed Sirens axing following a tweet by actor Rhys Thomas on Twitter stating it had been axed “To all of those people asking about Sirens, sadly Channel 4 have not recommissioned series 2. So that’s your lot I’m afraid”
Despite being axed by Channel Four the series is set to be remade for an American audience with a pilot being ordered.
