ITV to screen Susan Boyle documentary

ITV has announced they will be screening an insightful documentary into the rise of Susan Boyle.

‘An Unlikely Superstar’ goes behind the scenes as Susan Boyle travels across the world after her dramatic rise to fame following her audition on Britain’s Got Talent. The director of ‘Big Fat Gypsy Wedding, Osca Humphreys was given three months access all areas to Boyle. The programme will also feature interviews with friends and colleagues, as well as Simon Cowell.

Susan Boyle rose to fame in 2009 when she auditioned on Britain’s Got Talent, singing ‘I Dreamed A Dream’ which wowed the audience and viewers at home. The audition became a hit on YouTube and she went on to feature on television programmes around the world. The 2009 final attracted over 18 million viewers, although she failed to win – days later ending up in a clinic.

The one-off special has been made by FireCracker Films and will air on Friday 4th November at 9pm
