Nu Vibe line up G-A-Y gig
{jcomments off}Axed X Factor group Nu Vibe have lined up a gig at G-A-Y despite being criticised for “outing” Craig Colton in a recent interview.
In an interview for the entertainment site Holy Moly the group revealed that Colton was gay leading to a backlash from some who felt they shouldn’t have revealed his sexuality. Colton later told the Daily Star that he had ‘never hidden my sexuality and I am proud of who I am. Nu Vibe are all my best mates’. However the group also faced criticism for their use of the terms “bum boy” and “batty boy” during the interview.
The Sun reports that Nu Vibe are now lining up gigs at Revenge in Brighton and G-A-Y in London. The group tweeted on Twitter ‘Just want to tell CraigColtonUK that despite rumours and what the papers say WE LOVE YOU!!! & will b supporting u throughout the comp Xxx…….Can’t wait to perform at G.A.Y and Revenge!!”
Nu Vibe were voted off the X Factor on Sunday evening – having been the favourites to exit – after they failed to win the public support. The group later said they were hurt by Gary Barlow criticism of their rendition of With or Without You. Barlow told the group there had been ‘no vide’ for him during their performance. His comments were quickly picked up by X Factor fans on Twitter.
