Darnell Williams to remain with All My Children?

All My ChildrenDarnell Williams has reportedly signed a contract to remain with All My Children when the soap re-launches online early next year.

The Emmy award winning actor plays Jesse Hubbard on the former ABC soap and will be amongst the cast when it is re-launched by Prospect Park – according to one of his co-stars. Actress Lindsay Hartley tweeted on Twitter that Williams has signed up to appear in the series “Darnell Williams has officially signed on!! More to come”.

So far only two actors are confirmed as returning to AMC next year; Hartley and Cameron Mathison. Several AMC actors have signed up to appear in other soaps: Melissa Claire Egan and Debbie Morgan have both signed up to join The Young and the Restless. Morgan plays William’s on-screen love interest Angie Hubbard. If Williams has indeed agreed to remain with AMC then fans will be hoping that despite her new role on Y&R Morgan will continue, in some form, too. Another AMC actor signed up to join another soap is Jacob Young who is returning to The Bold and the Beautiful as Rick Forrester having last played the role in 1999 – it has since been played by Justin Torkildsen and Kyle Lowder.

Original cast member Susan Lucci is rumoured to have declined the opportunity to continue playing diva Erica Kane for Prospect Park though there is still uncertainty surrounding that. The actress herself has, as yet, not made any official comment on whether she’ll continue or not other to advise fans not to believe everything they read in the press. Lucci has recently signed up to appear in several episodes of Army Wives but that doesn’t necessarily mean its the end of the road for Erica Kane.
