Strong ratings for The Vampire Diaries
The CW’s supernatural drama The Vampire Diaries, which stars Nina Dobrev and Ian Somerhalder, pulled in over 3 million viewers last night.
In terms of total viewers The Vampire Diaries had a strong outing with 3.1 million viewers tuning in for its latest episode. It’s 18-49 rating of 1.4 puts it on par with Community on NBC which had 3.4 million viewers overall – not that far of VD’s total viewership. Elsewhere at 8pm last night comedy The Big Bang Theory on CBS had 14.2 million viewers overall with a 4.5 18-49 rating – winning the hour. At 8.30 on CBS Rules of Engagement had 10.7 million viewers with a 3.4 18-49 rating while over on NBC Parks and Recreation had a 1.8 18-49 rating and 3.8 million in total viewers.
At 9pm on ABC medical drama Grey’s Anatomy had a 3.7 rating with 9.8 million viewers overall. Comedy The Office on NBC had 5.4 million viewers overall and a 2.8 rating while Person of Interest on CBS had 11.5 in terms of total viewers and 2.6 18-49. The Secret Circle on The CW also had a fairly strong night with 2.3 million viewers overall and a 1.0 18-49 rating. At 10pm on ABC drama Private Practice scored a 2.5 18-49 rating with 12.3 million viewers overall while The Mentalist on CBS had 6.5 million viewers and a 2.4 18-49 rating. Prime Suspect on NBC continued to under perform with 4 million viewers overall and a 1.2 18-49 rating – how much longer the remake will escape cancellation remains to be seen.
