ABC orders full season of Once Upon A Time

Once Upon a TimeABC has ordered a full season of its fairy tale drama Once Upon A Time as well as Last Man Standing and Happy Endings.

ABC’s Sunday evening drama Once Upon A Time has been given a full season order by the broadcaster. The fairy tale drama starring Ginnifer Goodwin and Jennifer Morrison has so just aired just two episodes but they’ve performed well enough for ABC to give it a full season order. The first two episodes of Once Upon A Time so far have averaged over 12 million viewers and a 4.0 rating in the all important 18-49 demo. It’s held its own against tough competition and is one of the highest rated new dramas of the season.

ABC has also handed season orders to new comedy Last Man Standing, which has similarly rated well, and Happy Endings. However, noticeably absent from the pick ups is 1960s based drama Pan Am starring Christina Ricci. While the broadcaster has ordered five more scripts it hasn’t as yet ordered any additional episodes. It’s struggling in the ratings having lost a large chunk of its viewers since it premiered. ABC are hoping Pan Am will turn itself around as it had high hopes for the glam drama at the start of the season.
