Johnny Robinson and The Risk leave the X Factor

Johnny Robinson - X FactorLast night’s X Factor double elimination saw boyband The Risk and Johnny Robinson booted of the ITV singing competition.

Neither acts were the favourite to go but both ended up leaving in an double elimination that is bound to leave some X Factor fans fuming. Boyband The Risk, comprising of Ashford Campbell, (who was also part of Nu Vibe)  Derry Mensha, Charlie Healy and Andy Merry were automatically eliminated when they polled the fewest votes from the public. Johnny Robinson (pictured right) and Kitty Brucknell were then left in the bottom two and had to perform to the judges again in a sing-off. All the judges, including Louis Walsh who once again Frankie Cocozza had to chose between of his owns, voted to send Robinson home. The singer said, of his exit, ‘I’d really like to say a big thank you to everyone out there who accepted me for being myself’.

As stated above neither act were the favourites to go this week – Gary Barlow’s act Frankie Cocozza (pictured right) was the bookies favourite with Kitty Burcknell – who survived another vote by the judges – was second favourite to go. The survival of Cocozza in the X Factor may upset some fans of the series while others will not be happy that Brucknell – who has failed so far to connect with the audience – has survived yet again.
