Doctor Who Christmas Special title revealed

The Doctor, The Widow and the Wardrobe is the title for this year’s Doctor Who Christmas Special as revealed last night on Children in Need during a preview for the festive edition.

The special preview, aired during the charity telethon, revealed the title for this year’s traditional Christmas outing which will guest star Claire Skinner, Bill Bailey, Arabella Weir and Alexander Armstrong. The title is very clearly a play on the children’s favourite The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe by C.S Lewis which forms part of the Chronicles of Narnia.

Last year’s Christmas Special was a Doctor Who take on A Christmas Carol so can viewers expect a similar experience this year with the Time Lord’s version of the ever-popular Narnia tale?
