George Michael in hospital with pneumonia

Singer George Michael has been hospitalised with pneumonia.

The pop-star has cancelled several concert dates after being hospitalised with pneumonia in Vienna, the capital of Austria. He was due to perform in the city on Monday. He was due to perform in the French city of Strasbourg and then two concerts in Cardiff over the coming days but has cancelled those concerts because of his illness.

His spokesperson has confirmed he is receiving treatment in hospital and that rescheduled dates for the cancelled concerts ‘will be provided when available‘. Michael was forced to miss a concert last month in the UK due to illness.

The outspoken singer recently criticised BBC One soap EastEnders for “scaring” children with storylines he felt negatively portrayed gay people. You can read the full article here >>
