Strictly Come Dancing beats X Factor again
Strictly Come Dancing once again beat the X Factor, last night, with a comfortable lead over the talent contest.
According to overnight figures the BBC One celebrity dancing competition had the better of the X Factor for the second week running. Strictly Come Dancing had an average audience of 10.6 million viewers compared with 9.9 million viewers for the X Factor. Peak audiences will have been higher for both shows. Strictly‘s win, once again, proves audiences are opting out of the X Factor this show though even with its dip in ratings it still commands a hefty audience.
Another ITV show commanding big audiences is I’m A Celebrity and its current run shows no sign of waning viewer interest; last night’s episode had 8.2 million viewers. Meanwhile fantasy drama Merlin on BBC One had an impressive 6 million viewers for its latest episode Lancelot Du Lac.
