Janet Devlin's X Factor exit draws 12 million viewers

Kelly Rowland12 million viewers tuned in last night to the X Factor as Janet Devlin became the latest act to be booted off the ITV series.

Devlin’s exit came after she ended up in the bottom two with fellow Kelly Rowland (pictured right) act Misha B. Louis Walsh and Tulisa Contostavlos voted to save Misha but Rowland refused to chose between her two acts which prompted host Dermot O’Leary to reveal that it would be Devlin who would be exiting the competition – you can read the full article on that here >>. Overnight figures reveal that 12 million viewers tuned in to watch the X Factor results show which was followed at 9pm by I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! The latest episode of the jungle based reality series drew 9.7 million viewers as Pat Sharp and Lorraine Chase were both voted off by viewers.

Countryfile had 6.8 million viewers while the Antiques Roadshow had 6.5 million viewers. Historical drama Garrow’s Law continued at 9pm on the channel with 4.2 million viewers. Elsewhere last night BBC Two‘s best ratings for the evening were for Match of the Day 2. Channel Four‘s The Secret Millionaire concluded its run with 1.6 million viewers – the broadcaster’s best performance of the evening. Channel 5′s best performing show was at 8pm for the thriller Blood Work which had 1 million viewers.
