David Hasselhoff confirms Britain’s Got Talent departure
David Hasselhoff has confirmed his departure from the ITV series Britain’s Got Talent.
It was reported earlier this year that Hasselhoff was being dropped from the judges panel on the talent contest because producers felt his presence hadn’t worked as anticipated. Up until now though there has been no official announcement over Hasselhoff’s future on the panel one way or another. However, the actor has now confirmed he will not be taking part in the next series.
“So its official. I’m not coming back to BGT….thanks to everyone who supported me on my BGT days. Nothing but fond memories of the cast and crew and thanks to Simon Cowell.” – David Hasselhoff on Twitter
Comedian Michael McIntyre quit Britain’s Got Talent in September. Hasselhoff and McIntyre were added to the BGT judges panel after the departures of Simon Cowell and Piers Morgan both of whom quit to concentrate on their American commitments. Amanda Holden has confirmed she will return as a judge for the next series. With two new judges to find for the next series its hardly surprising there has been several tabloid stories about whom will join. In recent days Dannii Minogue, David Wallliams and Samantha Womack have all been linked to the ITV show.
