Caroline Quentin gets Carol-A-Thon underway

The competition to take part in the opening moment of the West End Christmas Carol-A-Thon on traffic free Oxford and Regent Street Is hotting up today as actress Caroline Quentin waded in to call on her namesakes to sing themselves silly for Kids Company.

Taking place over Saturday 10 and Sunday 11 December on VIP Weekend, when the streets are given back to Very Important Pedestrians, the West End Christmas Carol-A-Thon will help raise money to give 3,000 vulnerable children a Christmas they wouldn’t otherwise have; giving shoppers a chance to give something back themselves. Ladies called Carol and Caroline will lead the West End Christmas Carol-A-Thon, which is also featuring many of the West End shop staff throughout VIP Weekend, as well as established bands, choirs and a Kids Company choir.

American Express Shop West End VIP Weekend will see Oxford Street and Regent Street returned to shoppers for a whopping West End Christmas shopping day. Hundreds of entertainers will hit the traffic-free streets of the West End to create a magical shopping day, attracting shoppers from all over the world.

This year, the 7th VIP Weekend, organisers are hosting a vocally challenging 30-hour Carol-A-Thon to raise cash for Kids Company.
