Sky Living to screen ‘Celebrity-inspired' Weight Loss Series
The lifestyles of Beyoncé, Britney Spears (right), Lady GaGa, Rihanna, Katy Perry and Cheryl Cole are taken on each week by those wanting to look like their celebrity icon.
“Ever dream of having the booty of Beyonce, or the curves of Katy Perry? For the ladies taking part in brand new factual entertainment series Bigger Than…, their dream is about to get one step closer to reality.” Sky say.
Bigger Than… will air from January next year and will look at ordinary British women who are fed up with staring at pictures of their favourite music icons and wishing they looked like them. Each episode will focus on a different celebrity as some of their most fervent but overweight fans aspire to style themselves as, and follow similar lifestyles as their music idols.
“The series will then document the trials and tribulations of the hopefuls over eight tough weeks as they attempt to slim down to look as much like their idols as possible, resulting in the makeover of all makeovers and the unique opportunity to secure a contract and a chance to be represented by a top look-a-like agency.” Sky add.
Every week will feature a different celebrity lifestyle from stars including Beyoncé, Britney Spears, Lady GaGa, Rihanna, Katy Perry and Cheryl Cole 
(look-a-like, right). The ladies taking part will undergo a strict diet and exercise regime and see how successful they really are in an attempt to shift those pounds and kick-start a New Year plan to get the body they’ve desired for so long. After the makeover of all makeovers, it’s their chance to prove to the judges they have what it takes to win that coveted look-a-like agency prize.
“Examining the real truth behind some of these reported celebrity lifestyles, the series will look at how an ordinary person can achieve the results without the bank balance of a superstar. Using similar slimming and keep-fit techniques as the stars, together with help from a panel of celebrity experts, chorographers, nutritionists and fitness instructors – many of whom have worked with the stars themselves, each episode will document the true effect on and reactions from the aspiring lookalikes to their new regimes.” Sky continue.
This team of experts, led by renowned casting director Mark Summers, and look-a-like agent Paul L Martin, will follow the contenders during their efforts, monitoring and judging their progress over eight weeks of tough dedication and ultimate will-power. At stake for the women who most effectively transforms herself into her idol will be a chance to get on the books of, and be represented by a top talent agency and impersonate their celebrity idols for real.
