Will.i.am joins The Voice UK

The BBC has announced that will.i.am has joined The Voice UK as its second coach – Jessie J was confirmed for the talent series earlier this year. The BBC revealed last month that Holly Willoughby and Reggie Yates would present the series.

Multi-platinum selling artist, producer and songwriter will.i.am is the second coach to be confirmed on The Voice UK. He will join Jessie J plus two more critically acclaimed celebrity coaches yet to be announced in the UK version of smash hit format.

As the founder and front man of The Black Eyed Peas, who have sold 31 million albums and 58 million singles worldwide, he brings a wealth of experience and knowledge with him.

The seven-time Grammy Award winner has worked with some of the biggest names in the entertainment industry, including Michael Jackson, Rihanna, Usher, Nicki Minaj, Cheryl Cole, Britney Spears, David Guetta and film composer Hans Zimmer.

The Voice UK will be presented by Holly Willoughby and Reggie Yates and is slated for Spring 2012. The remaining two celebrity coaches will be announced in the near future.
