How I Met Your Mother pulls in big ratings

Two and a Half MenCBS comedies How I Met Your Mother and Two and a Half Men once again delivered big ratings for the broadcaster on Monday evening.

How I Met Your Mother won the first part of the 8pm hour for CBS last night with 11.7 million viewers and a 4.5 18-49 rating but it was fellow CBS comedy 2 Broke Girls at 8.30 which won the hour overall with 12.7 million viewers and a slightly higher 4.6 18-49 rating. A Charlie Brown Christmas on ABC at 8pm was seen by 9 million viewers with a 2.8 rating followed by Prep and Landing Naughty vs. Nice at 8.30 with 6.9 million viewers and a 2.2 rating. The Christmas special of The Sing Off on NBC had 4.1 million viewers and a 1.1 18-49 rating between 8 and 10pm. The mid-season finale of Gossip Girl had 1.2 million viewers and a 0.6 rating for The CW.

At 9pm Two and a Half Men topped the night in terms of viewers aged between 18-49 with a whopping 5.0 rating while in terms of total viewers it had 15 million viewers. It was followed at 9.30 by Mike and Molly with 12.7 million viewers and  a 4.2 18-49 rating. Hart of Dixie on The CW had 1.7 million viewers with a 0.7 18-49 rating. At 10pm detective drama Hawaii Five-O on CBS continued with 10.7 million viewers and a 3.0 rating while Castle on ABC had 8 million viewers and a 2.0 18-49 rating.
