HBO to order third and fourth season of Game of Thrones?
There are rumours that HBO will order a third and a fourth season of Game of Thrones before the second has even aired.
Last week reports emerged claiming the broadcaster would order two more seasons of the fantasy drama even though the second has yet to air. Production of the second season has now finished with filming taking place in Croatia and Iceland as well as Ireland. The highly anticipated second series will air on HBO some time next year but it seems the broadcaster won’t be hanging around to order additional seasons’ as it has already done so – reportedly.
The rumours have seemingly been confirmed by actor Charles Dance, who plays Lord Tywin in Game of Thrones, who has hinted more seasons have been ordered. He is quoted by Blastr as saying ‘We finished season two. I think that will air in February or March of next year, and we will start shooting season three in May or June of next year”
HBO has yet to announce if it has ordered a third and fourth season of Game of Thrones and is unlikely to do so until the second series has at least begun airing.
