E4 orders fourth season of Misfits

E4 has ordered a fourth season of its superhero drama series Misfits.

Broadcast reports that the digital channel has given the green-light to a fourth series of the critically acclaimed superhero drama. The third season will finish its run on E4 this Sunday having once again enjoyed rating success.

As yet there are no details on how many episodes will form the fourth season or when it will air though it will likely be late next year – as per the third season. It is also unclear which cast members will return to Misfits for the fourth season.

An American remake is currently in development with series creator Howard Overman working on it with Josh Schwartz of Gossip Girl and Chuck.
