William Roache shows his spiritual side in TV interview
Roache, who has played Coronation Street’s Ken Barlow since 1960, has spoken about his spiritual beliefs and how humans will shortly be communicating telepathically.
The 79-year-old, currently one of the worlds longest running television actors, gave his predictions in an interview for Sky Television. These glimpses into the future include a host of earthquakes, hurricanes, floods and tsunamis to cleanse the earth of negativity. It all sounds like a Corrie storyline meeting.
Speaking to Kevin Moore for Sky’s Moore Show, he stated that “The Earth is a living being with consciousness and it has an understanding.” And apparently in 2012 it’s going to make some changes.
“Unfortunately there are some cleansings that will have to take place where negative energy has to be discharged and these will be in the form of earthquakes, hurricanes, floods and tsunamis,” continuing, “we’ll move into the golden age which will be a wonderful age where we’ll all love.”
If this golden age includes Coronation Street going back to three times a week and sensible storylines, we’ll be all for that.
“A lot of people who are sensitive will be aware of it whereas some people will just be aware of all the awful things that are going on – but we need to look at all the bad things as a glorious process of birth. We’re going to be moving into this wonderful period where people will be more loving and more caring.”
In the sixties the young actor turned to a homeopathic doctor who he says communicated with him while he slept.
“That guy was able to appear on the astral plane, and come into a dream and actually speak to me that way”, and he thinks this is soon to be something more widespread, “We’ll communicate telepathically, we’ll all be aware of our spiritual selves, and it will be a beautiful place to be.”
This spiritual path has also seen Roache believe he’s communicated with his 18-month-old daughter who died in 1983, and also cope with the sudden death of his wife, Sara, who moved into her ‘spirit realm’ aged 58 in 2009.
So it seems William has been hanging round with more spirits than just the old bottles of alcoholic delights stocked in the Rovers Return.
The full experience of William Roache’s views and beliefs can be seen at 6pm, Friday on The Moore Show broadcast on Sky Showcase.
