Harry Judd favourite to win Strictly Come Dancing
McFly’s Harry Judd is the favourite to win this year’s Strictly Come Dancing.
In the semi-finals last week Alex Jones and Holly Valance were both voted off Strictly. The Strictly finale airs tonight on BBC One from Blackpool as Judd and fellow finalists Jason Donovan and Chelsee Healey battle it out to be crowned this year’s winner. Waterloo Road actress Chelsee Healey is seen as biggest rival in the finale as her popularity has grown throughout the series while Judd’s has been fairly consistent.
The favourites, of course, don’t always win as sometimes viewers go against the trends established over previous weeks or because viewers assume someone will win they do not vote for them allowing their revival to pip them to the post. There are numerous examples of when favourites don’t win competitions such as when Will Young beat Gareth Gates in the first series of Pop Idol.
However, Little Mix were the favourites to win the X Factor – in the final few weeks of the competition they staged something of a comeback and enjoyed a surge of popularity with viewers – and they did indeed win the series last week. Judd’s fellow McFly band-mate Dougie Poynter won the most recent series of I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here!
