Josh Schwartz developing new thriller for The CW

Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage are working on a new thriller series of The CW

The Gossip Girl producers have been given a pilot order by the broadcaster for a new hour-long thriller titled Cult – it’s a series with a twist though. The series centres on mysteries disappearances that are all somehow linked to a television series called….Cult. Rockne O’Bannon is penning the script reports TVLine.

The duo are also working on a remake of the British series Misfits though as yet there isn’t a broadcaster attached to the project. It’s currently unclear whether Gossip Girl will be re-commissioned by The CW for a sixth season.
