Dragon's Den moving to Salford

BBC Two‘s business entrepreneur series Dragon’s Den is relocating to the MediaCity in Salford.

The programme currently films at Pinewood Studios but will relocate to the BBC‘s new base of the north in Salford. Plans to move Dragon’s Den north have been in place for a year report Broadcast. The tenth series of Dragon’s Den will be the first to be made entirely at Salford. All five of the Dragon’s – Peter Jones,  Duncan Bannatyne, Hilary Devey, Theo Paphitis and Deborah Meaden – will remain with the show.

Dragon’s Den is the latest BBC show to move to Salford. Blue Peter, the BBC’s flagship magazine series for children, moved to Salford in the Autumn and Breakfast is due to relocate to the city later this year. There are constant reports in the media about which other shows the BBC will move north with soaps Doctors and EastEnders both being suggested though the corporation has denied such moves for both serials.
