Etta James, best known for her rendition of ‘At Last’ has died aged 73 her manager has confirmed.


Etta James, best known for her rendition of ‘At Last’ has died aged 73 her manager has confirmed. Her husband and sons were at her bedside when she died from complications from leukemia in California.

She began her singing carer in the 1950s and went on to have hits with such songs as ‘The Wallflower’, ‘Something’s Got A Hold Of Me’ and ‘Stop The Wedding’. ‘The Wallflower’ was her first big hit, reaching Number 1 in 1955 on the R&B music charts.
