BBC reveals celebrities for Let’s Dance for Sport Relief

Amy ChildsThe BBC has revealed just which celebrities will be taking part in the fourth series of Let’s Dance for Sport Relief which will return to BBC One in February. Amongst this year’s contestants will be former The Only Way is Essex ‘stars’ Amy Childs (pictured right) and Harry Derbridge along with the likes of Scott Mills, Olly Murs and Arabell Wier.

Let’s Dance For Sport Relief returns to BBC One on Saturday 18 February for a spectacular fourth series. Alex Jones and Steve Jones return to host the show, which will see stars of comedy, television, entertainment and sport, slipping on their dancing shoes and showing off their dance moves to raise money for Sport Relief.

Among those taking to the stage to trip the light fantastic and raise money for Sport Relief are Eddie ‘The Eagle’ Edwards, Amy Childs & Harry Derbridge, Angelos Epithemiou & Ulrika Jonsson, Ava Vidal, Terry Alderton, Arabella Weir, Tony Blackburn & David Hamilton, Scott Mills & Olly Murs, Omid Djalili, Watson & Oliver, Patrick Monahan and Rowland Rivron.

This year will see the competition extended across five weeks, with four heats culminating in a spectacular final on Saturday 17 March. Let’s Dance For Sport Relief will see the acts (a mix of solo dancers, duos and groups) dance their version of some of the world’s most iconic dance routines in front of a live studio audience. Each week the stars will be battling it out to wow viewers with their moves, and secure a place in the grand final in week five.

Who goes through and who gets a chance to compete in the final will be down to the public and the panel. The final will see eight celebrity acts dance with the hope of being crowned the Let’s Dance For Sport Relief Champion. Proceeds from the voting will go to Sport Relief. There will be a weekly rotating panel, made up of comedians, some of whom are former contestants who will review each of the performances. The panel of three, together with the viewers will vote for their favourite two acts to go through to the final and be in with a chance to be crowned Let’s Dance champion 2012.

Audiences will also be treated to weekly performances from the likes of JLS, Will Young, LMFAO, Tinchy Stryder and Pixie Lott.
