Dirty Soap axed by E!
E! has axed its fly-on-the-wall series Dirty Soap which followed the lives of several stars of daytime soap.
The eight-part reality series aired on E! last September through to November but won’t be back for a second series according to cast member Jenna Gering who tweeted ‘So the word is that Dirty Soap is NOT being picked up for another season. Thanks to all of u who watched. You all have been so supportive!!!” Dirty Soap followed the antics of eight soap stars in their private lives and was an attempt to cash-in on the success of scripted reality shows which, some have argued, have undermined the soap genre in recent years. The cast featured a mixture of past and present soap actors such as: Kelly Monaco (General Hospital), Brandon Bemmer (Days of our Lives & The Bold and the Beautiful), Galen Gering (Passions & One Life to Live) and his wife Jenna Gering, Kirsten Storms (General Hospital/One Life To Live), Nadia Bjorlin (Days of our Lives), Farah Fath (One Life to Live) and John-Paul Lavoisier (One Life to Live).
